Weekly Drive: The Spirit Of Wisdom

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. – Ephesians 1:17–19

The more you know Jesus and have a revelation of His unmerited favor in your life, the more you will have the spirit of wisdom. I challenge you to pray this prayer for wisdom regularly because when you increase in the knowledge of Jesus, He will surely lead you to success in every aspect of your life. The wisdom of Jesus in you will help you to successfully navigate all your trials and cause you to prevail over all your challenges!

We need the wisdom to know what comes from God and what comes from us. We need the wisdom to recognize the counterfeits and attacks of the enemy. We need the wisdom to deal with people. In numerous matters, we surely need God’s wisdom in order not to err

For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. – Galatians 6:8

To have access to God’s wisdom you need to surrender your life to Christ and accept Him into your life as your Lord and savior. Confess your sins to God and tell Him to forgive you, ask God to open your eyes of your understanding that it may be enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling.

*Prayer point:* Lord Jesus, grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation.
