Praising God Through The Storm – NBM Weekly Drive

Praising God literally means the expression of gratitude, especially to God.

Last year was really a tough one, and despite how tough it was God saw us through. Honestly, this can only be God.

It is understandable that in the process of what happened throughout last year, some might have loss their loved ones, lost their job, encountered financial challenges and as a result became depressed, confused, oppressed or you just feel like the whole world is against you. God is most clearly revealed in the worst moments of our suffering. In the scripture, we noticed that even when Job lost everything, he said” Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” -Job 13:15a

In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.
The Devil seeks to destroy your place of worship and your peace, Rejoice in your suffering-it means you are on the right path and he is scared!

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. (1 Thess 5:16-18 MSG)

What if God had not been on our side? Let all Israel admit this! What if God had not been there for us? Our enemies, in their violent anger, would have swallowed us up alive! The nations, with their flood of rage, would have swept us away and we would have drowned, perished beneath their torrent of terror! We can praise God over and over that he never left us! God wouldn’t allow the terror of our enemies to defeat us. We are free from the hunter’s trap; their snare is broken and we have escaped! For the same God who made everything, our Creator and our mighty maker, he himself is our helper and defender! (Psalm 124:1-8 TPT)

In this life we will have trouble, but we must learn to praise God no matter what. We must learn to praise him through the storm. Are you in doubt about God accepting your praise? thinking you’re one of the worst sinners, or your ways ain’t right with God and you want to make it right again. Say this word of prayer “Lord Jesus, I confess my sins before you today, forgive me, I acknowledge and accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Create in me a new heart. Amen”. Wow, that’s all. Cheers to a new life in Christ. Shalom!
