“What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
This is a question we should ask ourselves daily. It’s a rhetoric question really because the answer is in the question itself. The Easy-to-read Version poses this verse as an answer: “So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can stand against us. And God is with us” (Romans 8:31).
Understanding the depth of God’s love for you will change your perspective of things. Fully realizing how much he values you will replace your defeatist mind-set with a victorious one. David held this perspective throughout his entire life which is why he declared: “The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6). He said this in the midst of turmoil and unrest. However, he could write this because he knew God and knew that God loved him and in light of that, nothing else mattered.
Are you aware of how much God loves you? You need to constantly walk in awareness of God’s unfailing love. When you do this, you’re on the path to victory! Remember your position – you are in Christ! Therefore, you know the enemy has no claim over you.
