This very morning while I was in the toilet. Some people are already thinking toilet? 😁 Yes toilet. I saw a grasshopper and it was not flying, it was just moving on the ground right in the toilet.
Immediately, I saw another thing. Some ants came around the grasshopper but as they came closer wanting to touch the grasshopper they saw and realized that that the grasshopper was alive and moving so these ants could not find their way to the grasshopper.
Note: The grasshopper didn’t fly. It was just moving on the ground while all of these happened
As I was busy watching the scene the Holy Spirit made me flashback to a grasshopper that was dead and this same set of ants that could not go close to the grasshopper that was moving in the toilet today were already feeding on this grasshopper because it was dead.
Immediately I sighed
What a fate!
So I tried asking the Holy Spirit what’s this going on? Then he said “This drama you just watched relates to what happens to Christians”. The grasshopper is the christian there and the ants are the devil and his agents
When a christian engage in consistent prayer, study of the word and fastings, in the realm of the spirit he is alive and moving and in that state, the devourer which is the devil and his agents cannot operate in such a person’s life.
But that man that doesn’t pray and all he knows is that God is a good God and does not bother to even meditate on God’s word will be devoured by the devourer that moves around as stated in 1 Peter 5:8
Sometimes it is not God’s fault that the devil successfully carry out his operations in our lives. We are not deliberately engaging God. We are in the same posture of that dead grasshopper. We give the devil a chance to operate in our lives when we do not actively and intentionally engage God.
Give yourself to the ministry of the word and prayer because this will keep you alive and moving just like the grasshopper in the toilet.
Let me list them out clearly things you should do always
- Pray always (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Study the Bible always (1 Timothy 4:13)
- Fast always (Matthew 9:15). Now the bridegroom is gone so fasting is needed.
