God Knows The Thoughts and Intents Of Our Hearts

There is nothing hidden before God, absolutely nothing. Including our thoughts and the intents of our hearts. God sees everything, He knows everything, nothing is hidden before Him. If we truly understand this, it will redefine our service to Him and walk with Him if not right.

Our human minds if not constantly renewed tend to limit our perception of God. We try to hide things from Him when we ought to be real with Him. We must change our sense knowledge perception of who God is by renewing our minds constantly with the Word of God.

You can carefully examine stories in the Bible about the dealings of God with men; He desires sincerity of heart. It’s probably because God chose to have a relationship with man, that’s why we easily think that everything about Him can be understood by the Human senses which are not so.

God is eternal life. The Angels in heaven and even evil spirits know a glimpse about God and they tremble at His presence, including Satan and Demons (James 2:19).

Even the psalmist exclaimed in Psalm 8:4-5 “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers–the moon and the stars you have set in place, what are mortals that you should think of us, mere humans that you should care for us?” (NLT)

God is love that’s why we see that despite our ignorance and rebellion against Him, He still chooses to want man. He could easily have destroyed all of Mankind even including all creation with the same words He spoke that brought about creation, But no, He desire fellowship with earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7). He loves us and he has demonstrated this unconditional love that He has towards us – while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

We do not merit God’s love, what we must do in response to His unconditional Love is to submit to Him with reverential fear (Ecclesiastes 12:13, James 4:7-10).

God knows us more than we know ourselves individually (Romans 8:27-37, Jer. 1:5).

“But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1Sam.16.7 (NKJV)

John.4.24 – God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (NKJV)

Ps.51.17 – The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart– These, O God, You will not despise. (NKJV)

As Christians, we need to be real with God, we need to always humble ourselves before Him in awe, and live for Him (2 Cor. 5:14-15). He desires to walk with us, He wants to raise us in stature like He raised Christ on earth.

Be real with God, so that he can help you. You don’t need to package yourself before Him. We can fool men by doing that to them but not God. You can as well read the story of Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5:1-11), you can also read about Samuel when he went to the house of Jesse (David’s Father) to anoint a new King for Israel (1 Samuel 16:1-13).

God wants us to live with sincerity of heart before Him and in our relationship with men. Jesus modeled that for us to follow (Matthew 11:29).

Matt.11.29 – Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (NKJV)

God resists the proud But gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)

Are you yet to accept Jesus Christ into your life? Say this short prayer; Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, please I ask that you forgive my sins, I surrender my life to you, save me, heal me, deliver me and use me for Your glory and ’cause all things to work together for my Good. I am free from the bondage of fear! Amen.
