By faith Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did
By faith Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood
By faith Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as an inheritance. He also lived in that land by faith – For he was like a foreigner living in tents
By faith Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him
By faith Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter
By faith the people of Israel went right through the red sea as though they were on dry ground
The question now is
By faith what have you done?
Your confession alone does not validate your faith. Your inactions (inability to take actions) can be an hindrance to your proclamation and declaration of faith.
All men that had faith in the Bible took risky and very painful steps as a validation of their faith in God. One thing that you should know is that those steps or actions they took were within the confinement of instructions. So it means even your actions as to a reaction of faith can be outside the corridors of God’s instruction.
What makes your faith is Instruction + Action after this your confession can now come in.
Let me take you to the scriptures to affirm these things I have just said
James 2:21, 22 & 24
(Please ensure that you take note of the words in bold/capital letter)
- Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by HIS ACTIONS when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
- You see, his FAITH and his ACTIONS worked together. His actions made his faith COMPLETE
- So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone
The scripture has made it all clear. This should cause us to re-edit out mindset as regards faith and truly make us to start having real bible faith. FAITH THAT WORKS.
