The Bible makes us to understand that God created man in His own image and likeness. Genesis 1:27. The consequence is that man is given freewill. God has placed in him the special ability to choose. Hence, man can choose his own words and speak them forth at will.
By contrast, angels speak only the words God tells them to speak and act accordingly to His commands. Psalm 103:20. Because words are spiritual and powerful, the words we speak are of vital importance to our lives. Mathew 12:36-37.
Perhaps you never realized it, but, to a great extent, you are ruled by your words. Proverb 6:2, “Thou, art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken (captive) with words of thy mouth”.
Daily Digest: The more time you spend with God and in meditation on His word, the more sanctified the life you lead if you put the word to work.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I praise your precious name. As I worship you today Lord, I ask for wisdom so that when I speak, my words will glorify you and be a reflection of who You say I am.
