Scripture Reference: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing” – Genesis 12:2
Poverty and lack are not synonymous with holiness. When a person commits his or her life to Jesus Christ, he or she has been redeemed from the curse of the law to inherit the blessings of Abraham. Abraham is an example of covenant prosperity. God told him, “I will bless you and then you will become a distributor of blessings” (Genesis 12:2). The hallmark of Abraham’s blessing is being blessed to be a blessing. You become the extension of God’s hands, the extension of His legs, and the extension of His love to humanity.
We are called to be a fountain of His covenant blessings. Joseph exemplified the Abrahamic blessing. He became a succourer of the nation of Israel. He was a fountain of God’s covenant blessings.
