WELCOME TO MAY, THE MONTH OF TRANSITION/INCREASE!
May is the fifth month of the year. One of the ancient Greece school of thoughts and believe, preached by a Philosopher called OVID and that of the present day Christians is that May is the month of increase. The name “May” is the Morden day English adoption of the Latin word “Maius”, and it’s origen dates back to the time of the ancient Greeks.
They named the month of May after Maius, a deity which they believed was the goddess of growth (increase). Wherever you find yourself you find yourself in any part of the world, May is a time of change (transition). For those in places like America and Europe the spring flowers begin to blossom, birds begin to chirp, and life seems more joyful day by day. For those of us in West Africa, (most especially Nigeria), the weather becomes colder, thereby making sleep and life in general sweeter and easier as a result of gradual increase of rainfall.
However, Christians do not believe in deities and goddesses,, but you can not also rule away the fact that May rainfalls turn life around for good. Talking about rainfall which gradually increases in the month of May so as to enhance transition/increase, here is God’s promise in DEUTRONOMY 28: 12 & 13 “The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the works of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. V.13.
The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the command of the LORD your God that i give you this day and cearfully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom” (NIV). Dearly beloved, i prophesy to you that this month you shall increase financially, in wisdom, good health, popularity, and knowledge of God.
May this month of May bring you such great increase that you would begin to lend to those in need in Jesus name. Happy new month! VERY REV. T. C. INA, (The Chief Voice).
