Jesus said ‘Men always ought to pray and not faint…’ (Luke 18:1).
If the enemy wants a man to fall, he places a woman in a position where she could persistently tempt and try out the man. She would keep at it until she wears out the man’s resistance. That was what the wife of Potiphar was doing to Joseph. She continued day-in, day-out with an intention to wear him out. You need to watch this.
Persistence weakens men. If you don’t know how to deal with it, one day you may just give-in to it. It is said that when the force of water consistently hits the rock for years, one day the rock will break. You must run from immorality like Joseph – don’t just stand there. Flee! That’s how to deal with it.
Also respond with persistent prayers. It wearies the enemy too. You too can use persistent prayer weapon to wear out the adversary. However, the scripture says ‘Flee youthful lust…’ (2 Timothy 2:22). So, Joseph did not stay. He fled! Meanwhile David stayed, and he kept looking until he was totally captured.
Daily digest: Be persistent in prayers but don’t hang around anything that has the capability of pulling you down.
Prayer: Because I love God, He will rescue me. He will answer me when I call. He will deliver and honour me. He shall satisfy me with long life and show me His salvation. Amen
