Scripture Reference: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:8-9
When you see how someone relates with others, how they deal with others, it will be the same in marriage. Maybe not at first, but when things settled the real you will show up. So don’t prepare for marriage in that sense. Prepare for life.
Learn to handle people well. Your attitude and disposition now is a prophecy of your marital future. The lady that fights everyone in the class; rude to everyman on the street, no matter how beautiful and educated, will do the same for the man in her house.
The same goes for the man that treats ladies anyhow, deceive people day in day out on a general scale, will do the same thing when he gets married.
Daily digest: Your attitude is like a price tag, it shows how valuable you are.
Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me a sound mind. Our attitudes are birthed by incorrect thoughts. I ask for the desire to prepare my mind for action so that when the enemy comes to tempt, I can rightly discern good from evil, truth from lies, and life from death. Through my prepared mind, I will then be able to control my attitude. Amen
