You might say ‘it is my life, I can use it the way I want and how I choose’ but the truth is that you will give account on the last day. Remember the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30)… Because God has given us the ability to choose ‘A will’, doesn’t mean that we should then live our life the way we want. For every decision and action we take, there is either a positive or negative effect it brings.
“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live”Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
God didn’t create us like robots (having no self will), When God created man, He gave us the ability to make choices ‘To will and to do’. Having a will is having the ability to make choices. There is nothing more powerful on earth than the human will. The one thing God doesn’t control on earth is the human will; the very nature of will imply self control; the will control the destiny of a man; the human will is dangerous and at the same time precious. It is precious in the sense that God gave us the same ability he possess – the power of a will. It is dangerous because we also have the ability to choose against God.
God is our manufacturer. He knows us more than we know ourselves. He knows and wants the best for us, yet He won’t force His will on us. He didn’t create us like robots (having no self will) but He wants us to consciously choose His will. He created each and everyone that has lived or that is still living today. He created us for a purpose. He didn’t create us to live purposeless lives.
We are created for His purpose. Since He is our manufacturer, and only the manufacturer has the manual (knows the reason why He created that which He created, and also knows how that which He created can best function). Then we need to seek Him (God) if we want to fulfill the purpose for which He created us.
You might also say ‘what do I need Jesus for? I have everything I need; everything a man desires: cars, houses, a good job, etc.’ But the truth is that if you die today, you cannot take all you possess to the after life. Everything this world has to offer you is perishable, but that which Christ has to offer you is true immortality (Eternal life).
It doesn’t matter who you are, who the world knows you to be; probably you’re one of top celebrities in this life. If you die today, you’re either going to spend everlasting life with God if your soul is saved or Eternal damnation in the lake of fire; there is no option C. It is either Eternal Life or Eternal Damnation.
God is able to prosper you even as your soul prosper. 3 John 3:2 says:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
Only Jesus can prosper you, even as your soul prospers. Don’t be deceived. Jesus is really “the way, the truth and the life”. No one comes to the father except through Him.
No matter how much earthly riches you posses in this life, it cannot secure you Eternal Life outside Jesus. This life is like a waiting room for eternal life or eternal damnation. Secure your soul today. Beyond your soul safety, Christ has other better things to offer you. If only you seek Him first.
“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.”Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
If you want to give your life to Christ or rededicate your life back to God. I bring you good news that Christ was and still is the propitiation for our sins. say this after me “Lord Jesus, i believe that you died and resurrected to save me from my sins. I accept you into my life as my Lord and Personal Savior. Write my name in the book of life, Take all of me Lord and let your name be glorified in Jesus name (Amen).” If you have done this sincerely, I rejoice with you, you’re BORN AGAIN. Attend a bible believing Church as you walk intimately with Him in the study of His Word and prayers; Continually yield yourself to be led by the Holy Spirit for Him to guide you into all truth (John 14:26; 16:13; Romans 8:14).
