- While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There is no need troubling the Teacher now.”
- But Jesus overhead them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” In the passage we can see there what happened. Just one thing happened but there were two voices. The daughter of Jairus died and one of the voices spoke “Your daughter is dead. There is no use troubling the teacher” and immediately the other voice said “Don’t be afraid. Just have FAITH”.
It was easier for Jairus to accept the fact that his daughter was dead already as the people told him but he decided to hold on the words of Jesus “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith”
This scripture reveals that what men see and describe as fact may not be the truth. It was a fact that Jairus’ daughter was dead as it was obvious and visible to all but it was not the truth. And Jesus being the truth himself told Jairus that your daughter is not dead. She’s only sleeping.
Could it be that something is going wrong in and with your life? Could it be that it is so obvious to you and everyone that you can’t pass that examination again? Could it be that it’s like there is no way for you again? Could it be that life is hitting you so hard? Could it be that you are in the same situation with Jairus?
I have brought a word from Jesus the truth Himself to you today. Those things are just a fact but not the truth and remember 1 Corinthians 13:8 that says “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” So even that situation knows this scripture.
I bring you this words from Jesus Himself
It is not true that you are poor
It is not true that you are sick
It is not true that you are dying within
It is not true that you can’t pray
It is not true that you can’t study the Bible
It is not true that you are a failure (besides failure is not a person but an event)
It is not true that you are barren
It is not true that you are helpless
All of these can be a fact but not the truth. The devil will paint it so well that you’ll think it’s the truth
The question before you today is whose voice will you listen to? The voice of the people, your situation, the devil or the voice of Jesus?
I tell you this day that the words Jesus says to you is coming from a realm where He sees the end from the beginning. So his words, his voice is what we should believe. We can see in that passage that Jairus did not mind the voice of the people, he took to Jesus’ words and the end was a beautiful testimony.
What man sees as the end is just the very beginning of God
Follow the voice within and let the end be a peaceful one.
I declare peace to every challenge you are going through in Jesus name
