The Holy Spirit which we know to be the power of God was sent to the world to help believers not to faint or weak in faith by the Lord Jesus Christ.
He help us to represent God fullness on earth. Can a man be weak in faith without the Holy Spirit in him? The answer is YES. In John 20:24-29; Thomas who happens to be with the Lord Jesus in his earthly ministry doubted Jesus resurrection not until Jesus manifested to him. If Jesus had not shown, Thomas might lose his faith or his faith become weakened that’s why the book of 1 Sam 2:9; says,
“By strength (Manpower, human philosophy and wisdom) shall no man prevail.”
How can anyone pray without tiring and without ceasing? It is only through the help of the Holy Spirit who keeps supplying strength to the prayer warrior. Romans 8:26:
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
It is therefore the Holy Spirit who can help us pray foundation-shaking prayers. Acts 4:31:
“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
Sharing in all things the Holy Spirit keeps strengthening and reviving us even in the time of trouble until victory is won. In this Christian race, we will go through challenges and storms of life but the Holy Spirit promised to be with us. Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we aren’t alone. He is with us. Isaiah 43:2:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
When we get weary, He keeps supplying us strength. It is expedient we wait on Him as to get our strength renewed. Isaiah 40:31:
“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
God want us to rely on Him in order to receive power. We shouldn’t think we can do it all alone.
2 Cor12:9; “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Paul here speaking, he had all human power to strategize but still prayed to God to help him and God ministered strength to him. Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to us is not for fashion making as many think and act or to speak in tongues alone, it far beyond that. The Holy Spirit help us, guide us and prove us worthy before the Father (John 14:16).
Act 1:8; it said here, after we’ve received power, we can be able to do God assignments. No power, no ability to finish well. God gave us the solution but it is sadden that many can’t activate the power in them.
Matt 7:7; said we should ask and it shall be given unto us and when we ask, Eph 3:16; confirmed that He will surely grant unto us the strength by His Spirit in our inner man to do beyond our ability which means we already possess the power since we gave our life to Christ.
Many are governed by their own head knowledge. They believe they can do things on there own, most of them are carnal driven as Proverbs 14:12; says, there is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way to death.
Being canal doesn’t mean you’re a sinner but it means you’re driven by your five senses believing things can work out the way you can do it. “NO”, it can’t work because your strength (your ability, knowledge, attributes) can not prevail but when you trust in God, He will help you.
Paul said in Philippians 4:13; He can face all challenges by the power that Christ gave to him not by human wisdom.
God want us to look up to Him only for strength (Heb 12:2), then He will help us (Philippians 2:13) to do that which I’d right and give us strength in weakness.
You can’t have access to the Holy Spirit if you’ve not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. He can’t help you if you don’t know Him, He only help those He knows their identities.
If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour kindly say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, come into my life, I believe you died and resurrected for me. Write my name in the book of life and blot out all my sins. Thank you Lord.
If you’ve have said the following prayer, I congratulate you, welcome to the family of Christ. I assure you that you have the Holy Spirit and He will help you in the journey of your Christian walk.
