The Holy Spirit is the third person in Trinity. He is not Jesus. God is in Trinity, just like we have an egg. Egg is also in Trinity; the shell, yolk and albumen. Same as God. We have God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Scripture explains it all in 2 Corinthians 13:14
“The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all.” Amen (so be it).”
The way the Trinity works is as follows;
God the Son – “The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ”. This means that grace was made available to us through Christ who died for our sins.
God the Father – “and the love of God” Romans 5:8 “But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.”
God has this fatherly love for us in which when we were still sinners, He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins, so we can have life in abundant.
God the Holy Spirit – “and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it).”
When Christ was leaving He promised not to leave us comfortless. He said I’ll pray the Father, and He shall give you another comforter, that He may abide with you forever. The comforter Jesus promised us is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is referred to as the comforter, counsellor, strengthener, encourager, inspirer.
Life could have been so frustrating without the help of the Holy Spirit. As soon as you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour, the Holy Spirit is given to you to you as your Helper. John 15:26, John 16:7
John 16:7 “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart I will send him unto you. KJV.
The comforter in the above scripture is the Holy Spirit and the Greek word for the Holy Spirit is “Parekletos” which means an Intercessor, an assistant or one who pleads the cause of another before a Judge. It also one who is called to one’s side especially to help. The Holy Spirit is the helper of men because without him man cannot live a fulfilled life, he will be confused and wander in life. I pray we shall not wander in life in Jesus name.
The Holy Spirit is all encompassing to man, He can do anything you want him to do pertaining it’s according to the will of God (The father & Son).
John 16:13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.” NIV
Jesus Knew man cannot do anything with his own head knowledge or self power so he gave us the advantage to have access to him. How wonderful He is! John 14:16-17
“And I will pray the father and He will give you another helper, that He may abide with you forever, the spirit of truth, whom the world receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. NKJV
David Ibiyomie said “There is a limit a man can help you but when the Holy Spirit help you, you will not have any limit”.
Human help might not always be there but the help of the Holy Spirit is consistent. The Holy Spirit helps you break those addictions you feel it’s impossible to do without.
To benefit from the person of the Holy Spirit there’s a need to fellowship with Him, in other words Spiritual communion with the Holy Spirit. Life is full of crisis, and to journey through this world successfully you must develop a great communion & fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is real. You need to experience Him, He’s our healer, healing us of all our weaknesses and infirmities. Moreover, He’s our guide, teacher, counselor, comforter, friend, standby, advocate, strengthener and helper.
Zechariah 4:6b “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord Almighty.”
You can’t have access to the Holy Spirit if you’ve not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. He can’t help you if you don’t know Him, He only help those He knows their identities.
If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour kindly say the following prayer:
Lord Jesus, come into my life, I believe you died and resurrected for me. Write my name in the book of life and blot out all my sins. Thank you Lord.
If you’ve have said the following prayer, I congratulate you, welcome to the family of Christ. I assure you that you have the Holy Spirit and He will help you in the journey of your Christian walk.
