Yes, Adam’s one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness makes all people right in God’s sight and gives them life. Consequently, it is clear that no one can ever be right with God by trying to keep the law. For the scriptures say “it is through faith that a righteous person has life.” (Galatians 3:11)
After being born again you are already righteous because Christ is in you and its by faith that you received the life of Christ which is now one with your spirit making you dead to sin, so you are now alive in Christ.
You are not defiled by what you eat, you are defiled by what you say and do (Matthew 15:11) Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit that is produced (Matthew 7:20).
Being righteous is not and can’t be achieved by your way of life or how well you obey the religious laws, its a free gift you achieved after rebirth. God doesn’t like sin. Since righteousness is a free gift given to anyone ready to accept Christ , then the right way to live is by displaying the fruits of righteousness.
You will only be identified or recognized as being born again when you display the act of righteousness which is in you.
But when the Holyspirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us; love,Joy,peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law (Galatians 5:22-23)
If we are living now by the Holyspirit, let us follow the Holyspirit’s leading in every part of our lives (Romans 8:14, Galatians 5:25).
That’s why we’ve been given the Holyspirit after rebirth that He will guide us. Philippians 1:10
It is therefore essential to know that you are righteous by believing that Christ is in you and not by your human effort, don’t be cheated by the tricks of the devil. God is so merciful that He forgives all of our sins. Jesus died for our sins so we are free. So whenever you sin, don’t runaway from your father saying you are unrighteous, go back to Him to ask for forgiveness and God forgives so far you come to Him with a sincere, plain and humble heart. Henceforth, continue living in His act of righteousness.
