THE ORIGINAL PLAN

“Then God said,  Let us make mankind in our image,  in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish of the sea,  over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all creatures that move along the ground”.

Genesis 1:26.

God created man for his purpose,  not for destruction, the above bible text reveals to us his original plan for man even before he formed man. He needed man to dominate (rule, govern, to control). God demonstrated this after he created the first man and woman on earth,  by given to them authority.

God first had to create all man will need here on earth for survival before creating man, what God created last was man. This wasn’t a mistake,  it is the will of God.  God’s plan and purpose was to have a short distance fellowship with man, But the very moment the first man and woman on earth,  did contrary to his plan and purpose, they missed it.

Their disobedience created a new path for for man kind,  the bible recorded that before this happened all things here on earth reported to Adam and eve because God gave to them authority,  all things was subdued for their good. Their disobedience brought about the first curse from God to man,  then no animal was seen to be wild because God himself subdued all things. God intend creating man as an employee for himself,  to take care of his creation not to be subjected to his creation.

After man first disobeyed God,  suffering came in existence, but still God didn’t forsake man, his presence was all over the earth, but they lost the perfect relationship he planned for himself and man.

God chose Noah and his family,  he intend bringing back a new plan for man,  but man still missed it. then he decided to select the descendant of Jacob from the house of Isaac to be his own, he made a covenant with Jacob which is still in existence till today,  but like always they rebelled against God. Man’s heart become hardened more,  doing opposite of his commandments,  God then raised prophets like  Elijah, Joshua,  Samuel, Ezekiel, David to lead his people away from iniquity,  still they rebelled,  this went on,  man then had to give sacrifice in exchange for the forgiveness of their sin, not realizing that the blood of animals can’t take away sin (Hebrews 10:4).

Finally, God decided to sort this out permanently, he sent his only begotten son to pay the ultimate price,  that through him alone we can be saved, he even brought along a better proposal,  a better fellowship.  His only begotten son he gave for the purpose of redemption (2 Corinthians 5:17),  through him the price for sin was permanently paid, by the blood of Jesus we are cleansed from the power of sin and death,  Jesus paid it all.

This new plan brought about;

  1. Redemption
  2. A new covenant
  3. A new family, better than what Adam had,  we becoming his children (sons and daughters)
  4. The holy Spirit dwelling in us.

We are therefore now called to come to God the father through Jesus Christ the Saviour with the help of the holy spirit in us. Aside this there isn’t any other way for Redemption to God the father (John 14:6).

If your salvation wasn’t through this process then you are wrong, come to him through this and be therefore upright in God’s sight.
